Reviews:
* If you're looking for a smaller SUV with seating for seven and commendable fuel economy, the 2014 Outlander is worth considering. Outlanders are also noteworthy for their impressive warranty, available safety features like automatic braking and lane-departure warning, and sophisticated all-wheel-drive system that's very adept in the snow. * Above-average fuel economy; attractive, high-quality interior; available frontal impact warning/mitigation system. Source: Edmunds
* The Mitsubishi Outlander has been redesigned for 2014, with a lighter body, sleeker exterior and upgraded interior. The new look reduces aerodynamic drag by seven percent, helping improve fuel economy. Gas mileage ranges from an EPA estimated 20 MPG city to 31 MPG highway depending on your engine type and whether you choose the ES or SE trims with Front-Wheel Drive or the SE or GT with Super All-Wheel Control. The comfy three-row interior has room for seven passengers. The second and third rows fold flat, giving you plenty of room for all your gear. The second row also reclines, giving your passengers a relaxed ride. New interior touches, such as a soft-touch instrument panel and wood grain trim, provide a more luxurious experience. The Outlander comes in four trims: the entry-level ES, the SE, the SE with Super All-Wheel Control, and the high-end GT, also with Super All-Wheel Control. Blast your favorite tunes with the 710-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo with 10-inch subwoofer, available on both SE models and the GT. You can choose between a powerful 224-hp, 3.0-liter V-6 engine that uses premium gasoline with the GT, or a 166-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that uses regular unleaded with the ES and SE trims. Available optional convenience features include USB input for your mobile devices, heated front seats, rear backup camera, and navigation system. For the ultimate in safety, select the Touring Package, which offers features such as: lane departure warning, forward-collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. The Touring Package is available on the SE and GT models. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • Best SUV AWD out there

This is a beautiful vehicle. Do you want to spend $37,000 for a Honda or Toyota? Go ahead. I got my loaded AWD Outlander with Leather, Sunroof, etc., etc. for $27K. 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, made in Japan quality. Smooth ride, high quality, great sound system, tons of room, 36 MPG on my mixed city/highway commute. Notice the difference between KBB ratings and OWNER ratings. Why? KBB, Edmunds, Consumer Reports - they rate based on perception, not reality. Look at the Ketchup bottle at a restaurant, the plastic bottle is colored red. Why? To give you the perception that it is always full. Same thing with the hive mind. Come out of the shadows and the cave.
  • Big Space, Great Value, So Reliable

We bought our Outlander from Avis Car Sales. We've had it for two years. Besides regular oil changes, we have not spent one penny on any thing! We love Toyotas but this was so much cheaper than the Highlander or even the Rav4 and is just as reliable. We've carried seven people in it numerous times. We've also carried 8 suitcases, four carry-on bags, and lots of baby equipment. The engine is a very clever 4 cylinder mated to a CVT. It is smooth and the mileage is great though acceleration is limited. Brakes have been very reliable. It's small on the outside, big on the inside. Will probably go right back to Avis for out next car -- another Outlander!
  • Fun to drive and gets great gas mileage!

I love my Outlander GT! Bought it used in 2017 and it's the perfect size. Fits my kids' friends in the 3rd row when needed for quick trips (not comfortably), but we knew that we weren't going to use the 3rd row on a daily basis when buying it. It's handy to have those extra seats though. It has great pick up, is fun to drive and easy to park. Amazing gas mileage! Easily gets over 30mpg on long distance trips. Handles well in Colorado winters too. My only complaint is that the suspension is very stiff and you feel every bump! Overall the outlander is a great value and reliable!
